Book Baskets for Children & Adults
On August 25, 2010
COR held three special book basket giveaways in 2010. At the First Day Festival on August 16, 2010, twelve beautifully decorated baskets full of wonderful books for children and adults to read were given away as drawing prizes for young and old alike who signed a pledge to read every day. A huge basket of adult books was given away to one special winner at the Post and Courier Fall Book and Author Luncheon. Sixteen fun-filled baskets of books, one per branch, were raffle prizes for students who had read at least 30 hours in the Charleston County Public Library Summer Reading Program.
