High School Students Named COR HS Readers of the Year
In 2010, COR established a new award program just for high school students. Students submitted essays, teacher recommendations, and lists of books read. Winners were selected for grades 9 to 12. Book Baskets for Children & Adults
COR held three special book basket giveaways in 2010. Annual COR Celebration Honors Students and Families
The Annual COR Awards Celebration was held on April 22, 2010, with over 350 children and their families in attendance. Pizza and drinks were provided for all. Parents Receive Reading Tips
The COR Booth at Kid’s Fair on March 14, 2010, at Gaillard Auditorium was a huge success. Parents and children talked with Kim Odom, COR volunteer, about ways to encourage children to read. Kim engaged children in a hands-on activity to stimulate their motivation to read. Fun was had by all!

Fundraising Efforts Are Ongoing
In July and December 2009, COR conducted its first-ever Annual Giving Campaign. We wish to thank everyone who contributed to the effort.
